Ronald G. Watkins passed away September 2, 2021. Ron was born on January 17, 1944, in Birmingham, Alabama, where he resided throughout his adult life. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. He was a long-time member of Center Point United Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time at Lake Martin, traveling, and was involved with the Boy Scouts of America for over 20 years. He loved spending fall Saturdays in Auburn watching his beloved Tigers play. He is preceded in death by his mother, father and brother, Rhodes, and is survived by his wife, Elna H. Watkins, his son, James Watkins (Elizabeth), his granddaughter, Mary Palmer, his brothers, Charles (Carla) and Merrill Watkins, his brother-in-law, Conrad Hamilton, his sister-in-law, Pat Watkins, and many nieces, nephews and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations in Ronald’s honor to Alzheimer's of Central Alabama or the charity of your choice.
