Ruby Lee Sims went to be with the Lord on December 17, 2016 at the age of 93. She was preceded in death by her mother, Irene Faust Murphree and her father, Press Murphree. She is survived by her daughter, Patsy Sims Wallace, and her son, Rickey Lynn Sims (Barbara); grandchildren, Jimmy Wallace, Michael Wallace, Lynn Sims, Ellie Sims, Melissa White, and several great grandchildren.
Ruby was a founding member of Hilldale Baptist Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir. In recent years, she was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church. She retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama. Ruby was a kind, thoughtful, and giving person who was devoted to her family.
The relatives will receive friends at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel December 21, 2016 from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. Funeral service starts at 2:00 P.M. followed by graveside at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville.
