Ruth, along with her husband Ken, were the original owners of Ken’s Barbeque in Pinson.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Center Point for many years.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Roberts. She is survived by son
Ken (Debbie) of Auburn; and daughter Denise Gilbert of Trussville; grandchildren Matthew (Melanie) Roberts, Bryan Roberts, Britteny Roberts, Patrick Roberts, Kevin Roberts, Jennifer Gilbert, Heather Gilbert; and great-grandson Andrew. She is also survived by two sisters Mary Pat Brown of Columbus, GA and Sue Tindell of Hartford, AL.; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a graveside service at 1:00 PM Friday, August 19 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville.
