Sam Joseph Savage 81 passed away Feb. 25, 2019. He is a graduate of John Carroll Catholic High School and Howard College (Samford University). Sam was an active member in the Catholic Church where he sang in the choir and taught religion classes. Sam loved his family and had a magnetic personality that everyone loved. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Rosemary Savage. He is survived by his son, Sam Joseph Savage, Jr.; daughter Joanne Savage Truitt, (Tony); grandchildren Zachary and Vincent Truitt and brother, Frank Savage (Gerianne). The Family would like to extend grateful appreciation to the Palliative Care team and the Physical Rehab team at Brookwood Baptist Medical Center for their loving care. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday Mar. 2, 2019 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Hoover, AL with the funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. Burial at Elmwood Cemetery.
