BEARD, SAMUEL R. Age 58, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2012, due to complications from hemophilia. He was preceded in death by his father, Roland M. Beard, Sr., and brother, Terry. He is survived by his wife, Ann; daughter, Jamie (Ryan Patterson); son, Jeremy (Erin); mother, Clara Bell(Cecil); brother, Roland M., Jr. (Patsy); sister, Susan Menger; mother- and father-in-law Frances and Robert D. Waldrop; brother-in-law Robert T. Waldrop(Anne); and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was retired from the Jefferson County Roads and Transportation Department. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid University of Alabama sports fan. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 5, 2012, from 6-8 pm. at Ridout's Trussville Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Hemophilia Foundation, www.hemophilia.org.
