Sandra Rutherford Holt, age 82, passed away on February 3, 2025. She was born in Blount County, Alabama and was the 3rd of 4 children. Sandra graduated from Birmingham Southern College and the University of Alabama School of Nursing in Anesthesia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Holt; sister, Ann Pass; and parents, Leslie and Annie Rutherford. She is survived by her daughter, Lesley Ann Hill; grandchildren, Katherine Copeland Hill and Corbin Daniel Hill; sister, Barbara Johnson (Kraig) and brother, Buck Rutherford (Barbara).
Sandra was dedicated to her profession as an anesthetist, a position she held for over 40 years. Sandra was known for her generosity and was loved by all who knew her. She was fun loving and had a fun sense of humor. She loved her family dearly.
A visitation will be on Monday, February 10, 2025 from 10 am until 11 am at Elmwood Chapel Funeral Home; a celebration of Sandra’s life will follow at 11 am. A reception will follow the service at Elmwood Chapel in the Celebration Room. There will be private committal service for the family.
