Shane was the guy I could call and chat with and always feel good after we talked. I called Shane the next afternoon after the April 27th Tornado, here in Tuscaloosa...still shaken by the events, and Shane told me how fortunate we both were...and WOW, when we finished talking, I felt so Blessed. Shane really had an ability to spread 'Good Cheer'..where ever he was. He and I shared many things over our 10 year friendship and I shall miss his phenomenal personality and his warm, comforting friendship!!!

May God Bless and help all Shane's family and loved ones. I loved ya man!

The University of Alabama has lost a Great, maybe the GRESTEST of all Crimson Tide devoted followers and fans. The Paul Finebaum Radio Network had lost a Corner Stone of his devoted callers. Shane (aka Shane from Centerpoint) always called Paul's Radio Show at 4:00-4:15 to confirm his love of  The Tide and to set The Record Straight for the Auburn faithful. I remember saying to myself: "Man-O-Man wait 'till Shane calls in about this or that!" Shane, I never met you, I at least know what you look like now. Tell Bear Bryant and my Dad hello. My son Erwin Paul (after Paul Bear Bryant) Harper is a Freshman and plays in the Million Dollar Band. I will have him play "Yea Alabama" just for you! You are already missed. You were always loved. Roll Tide!

We both loved listening to the Paul FInebaum show and your calls were a definite part of our memories. Sherry, my deepest sympathies are with you and the entire family at this time.  I was privileged to meet Shane a couple of times and talked to him on the phone more times than I can count while working with you & Lynn.  He was such a nice guy!  I will miss hearing his voice on the Finebaum show.    From the moment I met you Sherry, I've always loved you and your family!  My heart was heavy when I heard of Shane's passing.  I feel like I've lost a family member as well!  Please know my heart, thoughts and prayers are with you at this time!

I am so sorry for your loss; I hope you can find comfort with the love and support from your family, friends and others who were touched by Shane.  My husband passed away suddenly in July so I understand the totality of your loss.

I was not personally acquainted with Shane, but I knew him well through his always jovial voice and daily appearances on Paul Finebaum's radio show.  I, and countless other Tide fans, always perked up when Finebaum would introduce the next caller at 4:00 p.m. with this simple identification ... "Shane from Center Point."  Shane's voice and enthusiasm would then come through loud and clear and he would be loaded for bear on Auburn.  What a stitch it was!

I was so sorry when I learned that Shane was seriously ill and deeply saddened when Finebaum announced last Friday that Shane had passed the previous night.  Shane brought both good humor and serious commentary to the show and he will be sorely missed by those he entertained, as well as those he jabbed at and anatgonized.  The show will go on, but it will never the same without Shane.  

I woke up this morning to the news that confirmed my fear for our beloved Crimson Tide -- the national sports media was pushing hard for Oklahoma State to jump The Tide in the final BCS poll and I was afraid it might happen.  Out of the blue, Shane came to mind.  I imagined him in The Hereafter going to Coach Bryant and saying, "Hey, Coach, we need you to go talk to The Big Man about The Tide"  When I heard the announcement tonight that we had finished second in the poll and will play LSU for the National Championship, I again thought of Shane -- maybe he did ask Coach Bryant to speak to The Big Man.  Shane will always be with the rest of us in our undying pride, joy, and love for the University of Alabama Crimson Tide.  He was a BAMA Man through and through.         

I send my heartfelt condolences to the family on your loss.  May God Bless and comfort each of you during this difficult time.  The world was a better place because of Shane Corn and he was appreciated by many and will be greatly missed.

I did not know Shane personally, but I listened to him on the radio for many years and greatly appreciate  all of the entertainment and fun he brought to this world.

My heart goes out to the family. Im deeply saddened by their loss. I lost my wife to a heart attack two years ago and in June my step daughter who was just 22 passed with cancer. Shane's calls as well as others has helped me to laugh and cope. I do know what this family is going through. Shane will forever be missed.

I'll rejoice in knowing brother Shane has gone to be with the lord. My sympathy goes out to Shanes' family and friends. Shane will be missed on the radio and by all that knew him. May God Bless you.

The Finebaum show will not be the same. I always tried to catch Shane's call everyday cause I knew when he would be on. I will miss his laugh or "chuckle" and that deep voice of his. Wish I had a recording of his calls to play back.  Great Tide Fan and I understand great person as well. I wish his family and freinds the best. He's got the best seat in the house now. My deepest condolences to Shanes family and friends. While I did not have the honor of meeting Shane, I feel like I know him from his appearances on finebaum. Loved his passion for the game and the Crimson Tide, but also his voice ...so southern and rich and full...and his laugh. Can't tell you how just hearing his voice made me happy! I as someone who never met shane, I feel like I just lost my best freind. In 2006 I started listening to finebaum, and shane was what got me hooked. Like so many we only knew Shane through the radio, but he was family, and many prayers were sent in his behalf of late.
