REIMANN, SHIRLEY RANSCHT age 86 died 12 August 2011 after a long illness. Born and raised in White Plains New York, she has lived in Birmingham for the past 50 years. She graduated from Syracuse University. She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore C. & Agnes Ranscht; husband John O. Reimann, Jr.; and son Theodore J. Reimann. She is survived by her son Peter J. Reimann, daughter Marianne Sanders and grandchildren; Joshua R. Sanders and Carl C. Sanders of Montgomery, AL; and Ashleigh M. Reimann and Jonathan B. Reimann of Birmingham. A graveside service led by Rev. Terry Burke will be held at Elmwood Cemetery at 10 o'clock on Tuesday 16 August 2011. Friends are asked to meet at Elmwood Chapel at 9:45 for the procession to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to any local library.
