Shirley Meadows Davis

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents Harlan and Lena Meadows and her loving Husband, Erwin Davis. She is survived by her partner in crime of 10 years Bill Mize; her children Susan Cummings and Linda Suttle (Jon); her grandchildren Hayley (John), Caitlyn (Kendall), Joseph (Kaitlyn), Madison and Austin; her great grandchildren Ella Jo, Tripp and Cash. She is preceded in death by her sister Logene.

Shirley dedicated her life to the lord. She was a devoted member of Berney Points Baptist Church for countless years. Her constant love for her church family was endless. She was involved in many community activities within the church, her Bunco group and others.

She retired from Compass bank after 20 successful years of service. After retiring she was missed dearly and was called back as a part time teller working Friday’s for several years. Every customer she cared for adored her and she adored them.

Sassy and hilarious are the best ways to describe her. She never met a stranger and was so loved by everyone that crossed her path. To say she will be missed is an understatement. Shirley Ann was the most incredible mother, partner, memaw and friend. She is loved deeply and will be missed by everyone she encountered.

There will be a Visitation on Weds, June 8 ,2022 at 1PM at Elmwood Chapel located at 800 Dennison Ave Birmingham, Alabama 35211, followed by a Chapel Service on Weds, June 8 ,2022 at 2PM. Committal will be held after the Chapel Service in Elmwood Cemetery.
