Teresa Frances Stano

Teresa Frances Stano, 76, loving sister and aunt, was called to her eternal reward on April 18, 2026. She was a very caring and compassionate person who loved her family and her Catholic faith and remained loyal to the church throughout her life. She loved to dig in the dirt, and she loved her garden that contained many flowers and many vegetables.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Louis John Stano, Sr. and Lennie Waters Stano; her brother, Christopher Stano; her sister, Genoveva Stano; her nephew, Louis John Stano, III; and her sisters-in-law, Misty Stano and Ramona Stano. She is survived by her sister, Maria Stano Whitaker, of Birmingham, AL; her brothers, Louis Stano, Jr. (Mary) of Porter, TX; David Stano, of Springville, AL; Phillip Stano (Terri) of Potomac, MD; Patrick Stano, of Suwanee, GA; Robert V. Stano, MD; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Patrick Catholic Church, 301 Shamrock Trail, Adamsville, AL 35005, with Very Rev. Anthony J. Weis officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery with Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel directing. The family will welcome friends for visitation at 10:00 a.m. before the 11:00 a.m. Mass on May 5, 2026.
