Thomas L Fitch

Thomas “Tom” L. Fitch, Sr. age 77 of Springville, AL passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2019. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother who was very much loved. Mr. Fitch worked in law enforcement for over 26 years as a police officer and corrections officer. He also worked closely with the Boy Scouts as a Scout Master for over 8 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Oscar Fitch and mother, Edna Adams; and a daughter, Regina Fitch. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joann Fitch; his son, Thomas “Tommy” L. Fitch, Jr. (Karen) of Springville; brothers, Robert “Bobby” Fitch of Springville and Russell J. Fitch of Brockton, Mass.; step-sister, Carol Kennedy of Alva, Fl; grandchildren, Christopher Andrew “Drew” Fitch (Jesse), Alexander Earl Fitch (Destiny), and Hannah Faith Thomas; great grandchildren, Elliott and Elijah Fitch; his nieces, Ilene, Kelly, and Monica; and his nephews, Rusty, Wayne, Robert, Russell O. Fitch; close friend, Ed Smith who was always there for him; and his two best buddies, his dogs, Rebel and Buddy.

Services will be held on Monday, June 24th at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel at 11 AM with visitation beginning at 10 AM. Interment will follow in Jacksonville City Cemetery, Jacksonville, AL.
