At 1:30 on the morning of April 21, 2026 the world lost one of its brightest lights. He was in the arms of his soul mate and surrounded by some of those who knew him best and loved him the most. The grief is overwhelming. The sense of loss is deep and profound. The opportunities to talk and share and laugh and cry with Tyler are gone from us. He will always live through the people who loved him and knew him. He was a doctor, a friend, a brother, a partner, a son and an uncle - and in addition to all these things he was a man of deep faith. He helped heal the weak with a passion from his soul. His calling was to help and give dignity to others - he fulfilled that to the day his body let him down. His brilliance was astounding and we will forever be better people simply by having known him. A man is never gone as long as his memory lives within the people who loved him. Nothing can take away the loss and grief as it will always be with us. Remembrance is the best way to honor a kind, loving, brilliant man who lived his life the best way he knew how, with a deep knowledge of God, rooted in his faith, and fierce protectiveness of the people he loved. Admiration is too small a word when thinking of Tyler. He will be missed immensely.
Tyler was an accomplished musician and enjoyed everything from Mahalia Jackson and Dorothy Norwood to Handel, Bach and Debussy. He could tickle out angelic melodies from any piano.
