Warren E. Smith, of Alton, AL, died on May 7, 2018, at age 72. Mr. Smith served his country as a Marine in Vietnam, during which he was awarded a Purple Heart. He was preceded in death by his first wife Margo Smith, parents Neal and Elaine Smith, brother Ernest Smith, and nephew Matthew Smith. He is survived by his wife Kathleen Smith of Alton; son Craig, wife Tosha and grandson Julian Smith of Maylene; stepson Stephen, wife Jamie, and step-grandchildren Kimo, Kualii, and Keoni Raber of Goodyear, AZ; sister Susan and husband Tom Cheatham of Starkville, MS; brother Jeff and wife LuAnn Smith of Warrior; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A private memorial service was held on Memorial Day at Hughes Memorial Baptist Church in Pinson. Funeral Home Services were provided by Ridout's Trussville Chapel of Birmingham, AL.
