

William Harold Gusnard, lovingly known as "Bill," passed away on April 12, 2026, in Birmingham, Alabama, at the age of 67. Born on July 22, 1958, in St. Louis Missouri, United States, Bill lived a life marked by dedication to his family, career, and creative pursuits.
Bill graduated from the University of Missouri-Rolla in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. His professional journey began at Rust International, where he worked until its closure. He then continued his career at Southern Company as a Coating Specialist, where his expertise and commitment left a lasting impression.
Bill was a devoted husband to his loving wife of 32 years, Bobbie Gusnard. Together they built a family filled with love and cherished memories. He is survived by his daughter Amanda Leigh Gusnard and son Henry Thomas Gusnard. Bill also leaves behind his brother Robert Gusnard. He was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Kathleen Gusnard, and his brother Donald Gusnard.
In addition to his professional accomplishments and family devotion, Bill had a passion for creativity and learning. Known for his artistic talent, he enjoyed painting miniatures with remarkable detail and skill. He found joy in reading and working on his Jeep during spare moments. Bill also delighted in playing games online—a pastime that connected him with others who shared similar interests.
Faith played an important role throughout Bill’s life. Raised Catholic, he spent his last few years attending The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Bill’s memory will be treasured by all who knew him. His artistic spirit, dedication to family, and quiet passions leave an enduring legacy that will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched.
