Audrey Marie Stefanek, age 90, of Bloomington, died Tuesday at Garden Villa in Bloomington. Born February 16, 1923 in Rochester, New York, she was the daughter of Joseph and Amanda (Stiffler) Baumann. She worked for Kodak in Rochester, New York prior to her marriage on October 23, 1957 to her late husband, Albin J. Stefanek. She then served as a volunteer worker for the Catholic Church in Schaumburg, Illinois.
She is survived by her daughter and her husband, Sharon Stefanek and Steve Hedges, of Bloomington.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albin, in 2008 and her sister, Thelma Darr.
There will be a gathering of friends on Friday from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. at Day Funeral Home in Bloomington. Burial will follow in Clear Creek Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions be given to the Monroe County Humane Association or to Lotusfest.org
