Barbara Jean Reichle

She attended school in Connersville, IN, then graduated with a B.S. degree in Business from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

Barbara married Dr. John W. Reichle, Jr. of Connersville on November 28, 1946 and spent the next 57 years of her life in Connersville until moving to Meadowood Retirement Community in Bloomington, IN in August of 2003.

Barbara is survived by one son, Dr. John W. Reichle III of Indianapolis, IN and one daughter, Ann Shedlak (Curt) of Bloomington, IN. She is also survived by her four grandchildren: Lindsey Ann Reichle, St. Louis, MO., Craig Timothy Shedlak, Indianapolis, IN, Adam Nicholas Reichle, Bloomington, IN , and Megan Ashley Shedlak, Bloomington, IN.

Barbara was a longtime member of Central Christian Church in Connersville and also a member of First United Methodist Church of Bloomington. She was a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority, Kappa Kappa Kappa, Sorority Mortar Board, Phi Beta Kappa and Argonaut Club. She served as secretary of the Fayette County School Board during the 1970’s.

A Celebration of Barbara’s life will take place in the Terrace Room at Meadowood Retirement Community on Friday, October 2, 2015 at 3:oo p.m. Burial will be held in a private service at Dale Cemetery in Connersville, IN on October 3, 2015. In lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made to Meadowood. In the memo section, please write “Employee Scholarship”.
