She was born August 12, 1926 in Bloomington, IN the daughter of the late Earl and Rose Chestnut.
Barbara was a lifetime member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. She was a member of The Daughters of Isabella, she volunteered at IU Bloomington Hospital and her church for many years. She enjoyed gardening; especially flowers, sewing, and spending time with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed.
Barbara is survived by her three daughters, Brenda Somes, Marsha (Daniel) Henson, and Jan (Tom) Stocker; eight grandchildren; and was loved by many beloved great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Weddle, a sister, Helen Kleifgen; two brothers, Joseph and James Chestnut; and a son-in-law, Grant Somes.
The family will have a Private Mass of Christian Burial at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Internment will take place at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
