Betty Jean Schulz, age 83, of Bloomington, formerly of Spencer, died Monday morning in the Golden Living Center in Bloomington. Born July 18, 1927 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Porter C. and Edna (Ritter) Woods. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.
She is survived by her husband, Alvin William Schulz, of Bloomington, one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Robert Hancock, of Bloomington; two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Sandy Schulz, of Solsberry and Danny and Kathy Schulz, of Spencer, seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Stephen Schulz, two sisters, Zella Woods and Leola Hazel and three brothers, Ghearney Woods, Carl Woods and Robert L. Woods.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. Thursday at Day Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow in the Valhalla Mausoleum. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday (9/29) at the funeral home from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.
