

Bonnie E. Lindsey, age 86, of Bloomington, died Saturday afternoon in Meadowood Health Pavilion in Bloomington. Born January 30, 1925 in Monroe County, she was the daughter of Harry and Mabel Mae (Helton) Chambers. She graduated from Bloomington High School and retired from R.C.A. She loved to cook and quilt. She was a long-time and faithful member of the United Pentecostal Church of Highland Village.
She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and LouAnn Lindsey, of Bicknell, Indiana and Dennis and Elizabeth Lindsey, of Freetown, Indiana; one daughter, Brenda Whitley, of Bloomington; one brother, Harry Lee Chambers, of Metropolis, Illinois; seven grandchildren, BethAnn Martin, Michelle Whitley, Reverend Nathan Whitley, Emily Gaither, James Lindsey, Kendra Lindsey and Daniel Lindsey; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth J. Lindsey and one brother, Richard Chambers, formerly of Mooresville.
The funeral service will be on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at Day Funeral Home Chapel in Bloomington with Rev. Nathan Whitley officiating. Burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
