

Charles H. Chamberlain, age 82, of Bloomington, died Monday evening at his residence. Born September 2, 1928 in San Antonio, Texas, he was the son of Charles and Willie O. (Donahue) Chamberlain. He was an electrician and retired as the Electrical Structural Superintendent at Brooks Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. He formerly was a lineman in San Diego, California. While in California he pastored a small church, designed one church and help build three churches. He was a U.S. Navy and Army-Air Corps veteran and a member of the L.S.T. Association. He loved being outdoors and playing with his two youngest grandsons. He was of the Apostolic Pentecost faith.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra (Barger) Chamberlain, of Bloomington; five sons; Charles Chamberlain III, Steven (Shannon) Chamberlain, Carl (Susan) Chamberlain, all of San Diego, California, Paul (Susan) Chamberlain, of Washington State and Daniel (Richeal)Chamberlain, of Bloomington; one daughter, Lorraine Snow, of San Diego, California; one step-son, Kevin Hendricks; one brother, John Chamberlain, of Fair Haven, Massachusetts; one sister, Billie O. (Charles) Sievers, of San Antonio, Texas, fifteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The funeral service will be Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at Day Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Douglas officiating. Burial will follow in Duncan Cemetery where the Veterans Honor Guard will perform military graveside rites. Friends may visit the family on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
