

Clovis Leon Oliver, age 90, of Bloomington passed away Saturday, January 17, 2026 at his residence. Born July 17, 1935 in Oolitic, Indiana, he was the son of Orval Fisher Oliver and Goldie Lea (Swartz) Oliver Blackwell. Clovis served in the Indiana National Guard and spent his career working as a Union Laborer. He was a member of the New Unionville Baptist Church. Clovis enjoyed golfing, fishing and being with his family.
Clovis is survived by his two sons, Larry (Cyndee) Oliver, of Killen, Alabama and Jerry (Teena) Oliver, of Bloomington, Indiana; five grandchildren, Matt Oliver, Nick Oliver, Zach Oliver, Emily Ardizzone and Adam Oliver, six great-grandchildren; four brothers, Kevin Blackwell, of Bedford, Indiana, Dallas (Linda) Oliver, of Louisville, Kentucky, Gary (Judy) Oliver, of Texas and Jim (Judy) Oliver, of Texas and three sisters, Bonnie (Eugene) Watson; Bedford, Indiana, Rita (Willard) Vandeventer, of Ellettsville, Indiana and Brenda (Fred) Rhorer, of Indianapolis.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Patricia Ann (Dodds) Oliver, on August 13, 2006, four brothers, Melvin Oliver, Norman Oliver, John Oliver, Steve Oliver and two sisters, Carol Holtsclaw and Wilma Wikle.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home in Bloomington with Pastor Randy Weddle officiating. Entombment will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Friends may visit the family on Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
