Clyde Allen Patterson, 77, of Bloomington passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2024 in his home. He was born October 18, 1946 in Martinsville to Clyde A. Patterson and Kathryn Bostic Patterson. He was a retired Roofing Contractor.
Survivors include three daughters, Marjorie Patterson, Robin (Tony) Beasley and Kim (Richard) Powell; a son, Brad (Summer) Patterson; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; twelve siblings, Nancy, Robert, Bill, Donna, Thomas, Sherry, Rita (Kay), Ruby Pearl, Alisha, Clyde, Jeremy and Michael; an aunt, Wanda Dorman; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife and mother of his children, Crystal Runyon Patterson; and a brother, Thomas.
Clyde was a U. S. Army veteran, he was a member of the American Legion, Burton Woolery Post 18 and the Bloomington Moose Lodge.
There will be a Memorial Gathering on Wednesday, August, 14 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home, 4150 East Third Street. Private burial will take place at a later date in Clover Hill Cemetery.
