Dakota Stephen Harry Cummings

Dakota Stephen Harry Cummings, 19, of Solsberry passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2014 as the result of an auto accident. He was born December 27, 1994 in Bloomington to Stephen and LaDonna Cummings. He was working for Reith-Riley Construction.

Survivors include his mother, LaDonna McGuire and her husband Chip of Solsberry; His father, Stephen Cummings and his wife Stephanie of Bloomington; a son, Bryson Stephen Cummings and an unborn child of Shawna Wilkerson of Solsberry; three brothers, Jacob Cummings currently serving in Germany and his significant other Rebecca Strong, Christian Cummings of Solsberry, and Weston Cummings of Bloomington; a sister, Ashlee Robertson and her husband Michael of Solsberry; seven step brothers and sisters, Josh and Justin McGuire of Morgantown, Amanda Mosier of Bloomington, Katie Gilland of Bloomington, Mathew and Maegan Wilson of Oolitic and Sierra Frost of Bloomington; grandparents, Harry and Deborah Cummings of Bloomington, Donna Fox of Bloomington, Cheri Hayes of Solsberry, Robert Jennings of Pendleton, Tim Hayes of Solsberry, John and Bonnie McGuire of Bloomington and Bonnie West of Bloomington; two great-grandmothers, Sharon Cummings of Greene County and Janet Jefferies of Bedford; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and many many friends.

Dakota was a member of Laborers Union 1112 out of Muncie. He also enjoyed playing football and cherished time spent with his son.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday, August 22, 2014 at 2:00 PM in Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home, 4150 E 3rd ST., burial will follow in Garrison Chapel Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, August 21, 2014 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
