Doris June Shoultz-Creek

She was born on Jan. 23, 1928, in Greene County, Indiana, a daughter of Dr. Stanley and Ollie (Williams) Brewer. A graduate of Marco High School, she became a licensed cosmetologist and began her career in Vincennes in 1946. She founded her cosmetology business in Evansville in 1954 and retired in 1998.

She married Jack H. Shoultz in Vincennes in 1948. He died in 2007. She married Jean A. Creek, M.D. in Bloomington in 2008. He died in 2021. Doris was a member of Evansville Central United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her daughter, Glenda Schaefer of Vincennes; three nieces, Teresa Creek (John Brumleve) of Bloomington, Julie Creek (Ben Smith) of Fort Wayne, and Debra (Jeff) Kixmiller of Fishers, a nephew, Jeffrey Creek of Bloomington, a step-grandson, Chad Schaefer of Vincennes; nine great-nieces and nephews and 7 great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters, Wilma Pearce, Donna Creek, Marjorie Hale, Vera Brewer, and infant sister Dixie Lee Brewer; a niece and nephews, and son-in-law Hugh Schaefer.

Graveside services at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Vincennes, IN. Memorials to donor's choice.
