Dwight G. “Bud” Covey of Bloomington, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2018 in I.U. Health Bloomington Hospice House surrounded by his loving family. Dwight was born in Chapel Hill, Indiana on February 1, 1943. Dwight was a proud Marine having served in Vietnam. After the service he married Donna Hough on December 26, 1969 in Ellettsville.
Dwight worked at Otis Elevator for 37 years retiring as a manager of engineering. He loved working and restoring classic cars and trucks, riding motorcycles especially his Triumph Scrambler, fishing, traveling and photography.He is survived by his loving wife Donna, his two sons; Aaron Covey and Chris (wife Molly)Covey, four grandchildren; Logan Day, Kailea Covey, Cheyenne Covey and Kody Covey and several nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. in Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home, 4150 E. Third St., Bloomington, Indiana 47401. Military Honors will be presented by the Monroe County Honor Guard and the US Marine Corp at 5 p.m. also in the funeral home.
