
Elizabeth Ann Thompson, age 69, of Bloomington, passed away Monday, January 9, 2023 at I.U. Health; Bloomington Hospital. Born March 2, 1953 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Joseph J. and Maxine Bessie (Fleener) Siedl Rice. Elizabeth attended Bloomington High School South and worked at the former Fontanbleu Nursing Home (Golden Living Center) before her retirement. She loved to dance, do baking with her grandchildren and spending time with her grandchildren and other family members. She loved life itself.
Elizabeth is survived by her loving husband, Lawrence E. “Buddy” Thompson; her two daughters, Cathy (Tom) Mobley, of Bloomington and Jessica Craig, of South Bend, Indiana; her two sons, Thomas (Tina) Tatlock, of Bloomington and Randall (Jasmine) Harrison, of Solsberry; six grandchildren, Derek Craig, Austin Thompson, Michael Ray Mobley, Devon Harrison, Gabriel Harrison and Hayden Harrison, one great-grandson, Jaxson Tatlock; two brothers, Rufus Eugene Siedl, of Jasonville and Michael Siedl, of Bloomfield and one sister, Rebecca Baker, of Bloomington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Donald Siedl and Kenneth Siedl and one sister, Connie Waldon.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 17 at the Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home; 4150 E. Third St. The committal service will be at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at Valhalla Memory Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Monday at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
