
Eva Pelfree, age 86, of Indianapolis, formerly of Bloomington, passed away peacefully Sunday morning at Riverwalk Village in Noblesville. Born March 13, 1924 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Louis and Mary Ellen (Grubb) Edwards. She retired as a supervisor with Western Electric in Indianapolis. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and the Irvington Chapter of the Eastern Star. She was a graduate of Bloomington High School.
She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Georgia Brown, of Fishers, Indiana and Patricia and Lloyd Likens of Lafayette, Tennessee; one son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Brenda Pelfree, of Ft. Myers, Florida; two brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Barb Hoard, of Reno, Nevada and Larry and Patty Hoard, of Bloomington; one sister, Betty Neal, of Bloomington, seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Pelfree.
A funeral service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Friday at Day Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Goodmon officiating. Burial is to be in Valhalla Memory Gardens at a later date. Friends may visit the family on Friday from 2:00-6:00 at the funeral home.
