Evelyn Helene (Grubb) Cramer

Evelyn Helene (Grubb) Cramer, 85, of Bloomington, Indiana passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024, at IU Health Bloomington Hospital with family by her side. She was born October 5, 1938 in Bloomington, Indiana, the daughter of the late William and Minnie Grubb. She was a graduate of Bloomington High School and attended classes at Indiana University. She was an Administrative Secretary at Indiana University where she met her late husband, Lee, and later was Office Secretary at North Central Church of Christ. Evelyn was a member of North Central Church of Christ. She always spent time to help others needing assistance. She enjoyed tending to the flowers at her apartment complex along with fishing, mushroom hunting, gardening her flowers, and spending time with her family and friends. Her grandson, Carson, was the love of her life. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her. Evelyn is survived by her loving daughter, Pamela Shelhorn (Eric); her sister, Susie Smith; her grandson, Carson Weddle; her brother-in-law, Dave Bault and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Galen Lee Cramer, and two sisters, Jean Sayre and Mary Bault. The family would like to thank Dr. Brad Bomba and IU Health Bloomington Hospital and Hospice for the exceptional care they have provided to Evelyn. Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home, officiated by Brother Pat Arthur. Interment will be held at Stafford Cemetery in Linton, Indiana. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to the North Central Church of Christ in Bloomington.
