Helen Fordham died on Tuesday, February 14th, 2023. Helen was born December 11, 1924 in Marietta, Ohio to Luther and Bessie Haynes. Helen graduated from Marietta High School in 1942. On July 9, 1943 she married Ensign David G. Fordham. David passed away June 20, 2007.
David and Helen have three children who survive. David Jr. of Las Vegas, Nevada, Barbara Kehl of Valparaiso, Indiana, and Bruce of Bloomington, Indiana, six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
In 1975, after David’s retirement from the U.S. Weather Bureau, they relocated to Bloomington from the Washington, D.C. area. Helen was a member of First United Church. She served on Boards and served as president of Circle 7. She did volunteer work for many organizations.
A private family graveside service will be held at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
