Henry Roscoe Rice, age 91, of Bloomington, Indiana passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 3, 2024. Roscoe was born in Linton, Indiana on August 9th, 1933 to parents Jesse Rice and Alverta (Taunton) Rice.
Roscoe met Grace Irene Brinson and they were married on March 6th 1954 and spent seventy wonderful years together.
Roscoe was a Navy vet who spent from 1952-1956 serving our country during the war in Korea.
Roscoe was preceded in death by his parents, one son Timothy Rae Rice, and Meliville (Mel) Rice.
Roscoe is survived by his wife Grace, son Thomas Edmund Rice, daughter Donna Mae Walton, sister Mary Newlin, grandchildren Jesse Hoff and Dawna (DJ) Hoff. Also five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who loved Roscoe dearly.
Roscoe was a member of the American Legion Burton Woolery Post 18, and was a former deacon of the Unionville Baptist Church.
