

James Eugene Neff, 81, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 22, 2010, at Richland Bean Blossom Nursing Home. He was born on April 14, 1929, in Bloomington, IN to the late Frank Neff and Mary (Deckard) Neff Hall.
He delighted daily in his family. He had a pet name for each of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. He was ordained as a minister on April 3, 1965, with The Church of Jesus Christ. He was the founder and former pastor of Abundant Life Tabernacle, formally Unionville Church of Jesus Christ. He pastored at Elizabethtown Church of Jesus Christ and Pine Grove Pentecostal Church. He was a carpenter by trade and a former member of the United States National Guard.
He is survived by his daughter and son in law Carolyn and Gary Siscoe, his grand children: Steve and Jen Siscoe, Brad Siscoe and fiancé Sara Hardin, Jeff and Heather Siscoe, Shelley Siscoe, Nikki and Lee Pierce, and Haylee and Andrew Woodall. His great grandchildren: Kaylan Siscoe, Nathan Siscoe, Jaidan Siscoe, Sammy Pierce, Matt Pierce, Emmalee Pierce, Isaac Pierce, Ian Siscoe, and Joey Trejo. His sisters Maxine (Harry) Thurman and Alice (Bob) Whaley. And several nieces and nephews.
He is reunited in death with his wife of 51 years Freeda Neff, his son James K. Neff, his great grandson Jimmy Pierce, his parents Frank Neff and Mary (Deckard) Neff Hall. His brothers: Carl Hall, Oralee Hall, Jack Neff, Elbert Hall, Damon Hall, and Jack Hall. His sisters: Violet Baugh and Mamie McArtor.
Funeral Services will be held at Abundant Life Tabernacle at 1:00 PM Saturday, 4988 Brummetts Creek Road, Bloomington, IN, with Rev. Michael Douglas and Rev. Dwight Hardin officiating. Friends may call at the Day Funeral Home on Friday from 4 – 8 PM. Burial will be held at Mt. Gilead Cemetery.
