 Obituario de Jane Isom Lyles
Jane Ellen Isom Lyles was born June 7, 1940 in Corinth, Mississippi, and passed away in Bloomington, Indiana, on November 2, 2020, with the love of her family surrounding her. She was the only child of Will and Mildred Isom. Jane graduated from Mississippi State in 1962 with a degree in accounting. She married Bob Lyles of Pascagoula, Mississippi, on November 4, 1962. They were married for 51 years, until his passing in December of 2013. She and Bob had three children who survive her, Julie (Michael Carr), Rob (Jill), and David (Teresa) and sixteen grandchildren, Madison, McKenna-Jane (Yutaka Maki), Justus (Lily), Maesyn, Clancy, Jairus, Jack, Kathryn, Journey, Mitchell, Nathan, Merci, Jakin, Claire, Allison, and Lucy. Jane worked in accounting and tax preparation, and spent several years raising her family as a homemaker. She was known as GranJane to her grandchildren. Having grown up in Corinth, Jane and her husband lived in many places across the nation, including Ohio, Alabama, Pennsylvania, California, Virginia, Utah, Arizona, Oklahoma. Five years ago, following the death of her husband, Jane moved to Bloomington, Indiana, to be closer to her son Rob and her daughter-in-law Jill. Jane delighted in time with her family, in travel, camping, and hiking. She also loved snow skiing and water skiing. An avid dog lover, Jane welcomed many pets in her home through the years, and was especially close to her dogs Quisha and Schatzi. She also loved a great story, and revelled in books, theater, and family gatherings in which stories took center stage. Always at the ready with laughter, music was also an important part of Jane’s life. She was accomplished at the piano, loved to paint, and enjoyed family sing-alongs and the music that was an integral part of her faith. Jane was a devoted follower of Christ and was a faithful church member her whole life. While she held many verses close, Romans 8:38-39 resonated in her life: For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Jane leaves behind incredible memories of her devotion as a wife and mom, her fun and caring nature with her grandchildren, and her many friendships across the country.
