Jane Pennell McIntosh

Jane Pennell McIntosh, 84, of Bloomington died March 25, 2018. Born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. She was the daughter of Charles Daniel Pennell and Catherine Parkhurst Pennell of Van Wert, Ohio. She graduated in 1951 from Van Wert High School and received B.S. and Masters degrees from Indiana University. Jane McIntosh worked for the Parks and Recreation Department of Bloomington then became an Academic Advisor for Indiana University, where she worked for many years. McIntosh was an active member of the Chi Omega Sorority and held many offices including serving on the Board of Theta Beta. She was an active member of Psi Iota Xi, a philanthropic sorority, as well as Pi Lambda Theta and Delta Kappa Gamma, each educational organizations. Jane served in both the PEO Chapter EE and Argonauts Clubs of Bloomington. She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Bloomington DAR Chapter. She was a strong supporter of the Arts and enjoyed many productions with her husband of 63 years, Jerry McIntosh, who proceeded her in death on February 19, 2018. Survivors include her son Kevin D. McIntosh and family of Johnson County and lovely daughter, Erin Jane McIntosh of Fishers, IN. Funeral Services will be held at the First Christian Church, 205 E Kirkwood Ave, on Friday, April 6th at 1:00 pm. Arrangements are under the direction of Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home.
