My Death
To my friends and relatives, who have gathered here,
There is something I wish you all to hear.
Though someone else reads these words today,
These are things that I, would have wanted to say.
I wish that noone here would cry,
For a time comes when we all must die.
Death is something, I did not fear,
For if not now it would have come another day, or year.
I felt that when I died, God had his reasons,
Just like there are different seasons.
Though you may ask, Oh God, why him?
It would have been not different it if had been another friend, or some other kin.
Though you won’t see me in the flesh anymore,
At least you still have memories, of how I was before.
You all have memories of times, both good and bad,
And some of the great moments of my life, as well as some that were sad.
Perfect or even close, it something I could never be,
For if I had, I wouldn’t have been me.
I want everyone here to be happy and put memories of me, in the past,
But if you do think of me, think to the future, and believe that someday we will meet again, at last.
