Jimmy Lee Cowger

Jim was a 1954 graduate of Greencastle High School where he had many fond memories and great stories of playing basketball for the Tiger Cubs. He retired from Indiana University after many years of service.

Surviving is his loving companion of 35 years, June Cain, his children, Mark Cowger and wife, Jody, of Greencastle, Kelley Walker of Kansas City, step-son, Don Cain and wife, Karen, of Bloomington; grandchildren, Jamie McGuire, Jeremy Cowger, Zackary Walker, Kelsey Walker, Matthew Cain, Amy Bowling, Laura Lucas, Jarrod Cain and Michelle Hart and great-grandchildren, Jordan O’Neal, Cruz Cowger, Madison Cain, Parker Lucas, Hadley Lucas, Macey Cain, Huxlee Cain, Isabella Bowling, Isaac Bowling, Hadley Cain, Sarah Cain, Jordyn Keift, Reagan Keift and Riley Keift.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and one step-son, Mike Cain, formerly of Bloomington.

Friends may visit the family at Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home, 4150 E. Third St. Bloomington, IN 47401 from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, February 10, 2016. A committal service will be held at Valhalla Mausoleum at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
