John David Henry, 68 of Ellettsville died Friday, September 11, 2015 in St Francis Hospital, Greenwood. He was born February 9, 1947 in Shoals, Indiana to Ollie Henry and Mildred Henry. He was an Attorney having a practice in Indianapolis. John was a U.S. Army Veteran and loved spending time with his grandchildren and being outdoors any chance he got, he also got a great deal of enjoyment in going bargain shopping.
Survivors include his daughter, Jessica Westfall and her husband Jarred of Ellettsville; three grandchildren, Abigail, Jayden and Clayton Westfall of Ellettsville; two very good friends, Cathy Wheatly and Kelly Thrasher; a sister, Martha Blackwell; a brother Joe Henry and his wife Pam; two brothers-in-law, Dick and Don Blackwell; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Sue.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Friday, September 18, 2015 at 7:00 PM in Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home, 4150 E Third St., Bloomington with Military Honors provided by the Monroe County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to services.
