Joshua Casey Arthur Shipley, 30, of Bloomington, IN passed away on Monday, September 14, 2020. He was born October 14, 1989 the son of Jon Casey Shipley and Kathy Jo Stephens.
Josh was a loving husband and a wonderful father to his boys. Josh had a big heart he was always there to help anyone in need.
Josh was an avid wrestling fan and an Army Veteran. He enjoyed painting War Hammer Figurines, and spending time with his family and friends; especially his children, nieces and nephews who called him “Nucky Josh”.
Josh is survived by his wife, Amber Shipley; his three sons, Lucas Michael Shipley, Jonathan Wade Walker Shipley, and Jackson Casey Atlas Shipley; his father, Jon Shipley; his mother, Kathy (CJ Parcels) Stephens; a brother, Brandon (Kelly) Stephens and their 4 children, two sisters, Samantha (Zachary) Crouch and their 2 children, and Kimberlynn (Brandon) Ryan and their 3 children; grandparents, Jerry and Janie Shipley, uncle, JR (Tina) Shipley, cousin, Jared Shipley, and many other beloved family members.
Josh was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ron and Fran Stephens, Aunt, Kimberly Stephens, Uncle, Keith Stephens, Sister-in-law, April Stephens, and a Nephew Brier Stephens.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Bloomington AMVETS Post 2000, 5227 West Airport Road in Bloomington, officiated by Pastor Andy Richmond.
In lieu of flower, memorial donations may be made to Riley Children’s Hospital in Joshua Shipley’s name, 705 Riley Hospital Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46202.
