Kyle Carter McCune passed away at the I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital on the morning of Saturday, October 1, 2011, at the age of 42. After an extended illness, he died in peace, surrounded by his family.
He was born in Bloomington on January 9, 1969, the son of Jerry and Lois (Maughan) McCune. He attended Bloomington North High School, graduating in 1987. He worked in the automotive service business for almost 22 years and received numerous awards for outstanding achievements in that business. The most enjoyable parts of his life were his 4 children, his dog, and his passion for NASCAR racing and the NFL.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois McCune and his grand-daughter Emma Grace.
He is survived by his children, Cheyenne, Jessie, Mitchell and Chance, and his grand-daughter, Chloey; his father, Jerry McCune, step-mother, Lisa (Blackwell) McCune; sister, Darcie McCune; nephews, Blair and Jaden McCune all of Bloomington.
Funeral services will be at Day Funeral Home, Thursday at 1:00 p.m. with visitation on Wednesday 6-8 p.m.
