Leonard Alan Dixson

Leonard Alan Dixson, 65 of Bloomington passed away Saturday morning, December 14, 2013 in his residence. He was born July 17, 1948 in Beaver Falls, PA to James Dixson and Ruth Young Dixson. He was a machine operator at Cook Inc in Ellettsville. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Vicki Hardy Dixson of Bloomington; a daughter, Amber Dixson of Bloomington; and two sisters, Lena Dixson of Bloomington and Karen Hicks and her husband Donnie of Beaver Falls, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memberships include the Reformed Presbyterian Church and the Moose Lodge # 1081. Leonard enjoyed playing euchre at the Moose and at AmVets, playing golf and spending time with his family. He was also a Veteran of the U.S. Army. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday December 21, 2013 in Day Funeral Home, 4150 E. Third ST., with Pastors Richard Holdeman and Adam Niess officiating.
