Mary Pauline Stalcup went to rejoice with her Lord on October 2, 2019 at the age of 100. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Jacob E. and Nora J. (Robertson) Layton on May 19, 1919. She married Charles E. Stalcup on December 24, 1936 in Bloomington, Indiana.
Mary worked at Indiana University as a Housing Supervisor for many years. She enjoyed being on Facebook to keep up with her family and crocheting. She was a longtime member of the McCormick’s Creek Pentecostal Church which she dearly loved.
Mary is survived by two daughters; Betty P. Larimer and Lois J. (Don)Bault, one son; Rodney G(Sarah)Stalcup, one sister; Ester Jean White, ten grandchildren; Alexia(Robert)Bock, Preston(Melissa)Larimer, Angela(Ron) Delgado, Dennis(Loriena)Bault, Duane Bault, Tony Allen, Jake(Shannon)Collier, Pam(Mel)Collier, Alicia Wilhite and Christina(Steve)Feaster.
She is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Charles, her son James Stalcup, her sister Ruth Cloud, two brothers; George Layton and John Layton, her great-granddaughter Debra Ann Dodds and son-in-law Victor Larimer.
Visitation for Mary will be held on Monday, October 7, 2019 from 11:30 until time of service at 1:30 in McCormick’s Creek Pentecostal Church, 3138 State Rd. 46, Spencer, Indiana 47460 officiated by Adam Hill. Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens, Bloomington, Indiana.
