

Norman Lee Evans, 74, of Bloomington passed away in his home Thursday, October 28, 2021. He was born September 25, 1947 in Benton Harbor, Michigan to Raymond Lee Evans and Bernice May Graham Evans. He was a Minister of the Gospel and was retired from General Electric.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Kathy Morron Evans of Bloomington; two sisters, Linda (Harry) Tilley and Brenda Evans both of the London Arkansas area; three brothers, Edward (Bonnie) Evans, David (Tammy) Evans and Stephan Evans all of the London, Arkansas area; several nieces and nephews; and a large extended family on Kathy’s side. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother and sister who died in infancy.
Norman was a member of the Ellettsville House of Prayer, he was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam era and was a 15 year member of Unchained Ministries. He loved trains of any size, preaching the gospel and doing jail ministry. As a child he had worked in his grandparents gas station and grocery store.
The will be a Gathering of Family and Friends on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home, 4150 E Third ST. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Ellettsville House of Prayer, 4100 N Hartstrait Rd with Pastor Larry Mitchell officiating; burial will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Monroe County Veterans Honor Guard.
