

Pauline Collins, age 70, of Bloomington, died Tuesday afternoon at the I.U. Health; Bloomington Hospice House. Pauline was born December 17, 1944 in Pineville, Kentucky, the daughter of Therlow and Cleadie (Hubbard) Smith. She was a retired cook for Indiana University. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She thoroughly enjoyed loving on her grandbabies. She was a member of the Church of the First Born.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Samuel L. Collins, of Bloomington; two daughters and one son-in-law, Tammy (Collins) Miles and Stephanie (Collins) and Kerry Sims, all of Bloomington; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Elsie Hornaday, of Indianapolis and Carol and Herman Scott, of Florida; one brother, James Smith, of Martinsville; five grandchildren, Brittany Warthan, Jason Eads, Megan Warthen, Sarah Eads and Anna Deckard, several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Michelle (Collins) Deckard, one grandchild, one brother, Clarence Smith and three sisters, Katherine Forrester, Magaline Scroggins and Jackie Collins.
The funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 A.M. at the Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home; 4150 E. Third St. with Rev. Dusty Langley officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday (02/26) from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
