

Ralph was a World War II Army Veteran during the European Campaign. He was in the Battle of the Bulge as well as many other conflicts in Europe. He was a member of the Lions Club, the American Legion Post #18, and he was a 60 year member of the Bedford Lodge # 14 F & A.M. as well as the Scottish Rite. He spent time volunteering at I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital for over 25 years. He started out teaching and worked with RCA and Magnavox for many years before buying Allied Industrial Equipment Company in Knoxville, Tennessee. He later returned to Bloomington, Indiana in retirement. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 78 years, Ruth Young; his three sisters, Helen Lynch of Dayton, Ohio, Irene Ward of Lewisville, Arkansas, and Marie Conoley of Taylor, Texas; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, and one brother.
Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 4, 2013 at United Presbyterian Church, 1701 E. 2nd Street. Entombment will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens where the Monroe County Honor Guard will perform military rites. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Monday at United Presbyterian Church.
