Rick C. Kleindorfer

Ricky Charles Kleindorfer 52 of Unionville passed away Friday of complications from cancer at IU Health Bloomington. He was born April 26, 1965 to Phyllis Mae (Polley) and David Lawrence (Porky) Kleindorfer. He graduated from Bloomington North class of 1983. Rick was the purchasing manager at the family owned business Kleindorfer’s Hardware And Variety Store for over 40 years. He loved to travel, cooking out, and taking adventures and spending time with family and friends. He married Michelle (Ponton) Kleindorfer on December 7,1996. He is survived by his wife Michelle, children Victor (Abbey) Vollrath, Stephanie Vollrath (Dez), Eric (Jessica) Vollrath, and David S. Kleindorfer and Grandsons Camden and Maximus. Parents Phyllis and David (Porky) Kleindorfer, siblings Jeff Kleindorfer, Sheila (Phil) Mauro, and Gail Kleindorfer and numerous nieces and nephews. If you knew him you loved him. He was a true friend and will be greatly missed.

Visitation for Rick will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 from 2 – 8 p.m. in Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home, 4150 E. Third St., Bloomington, Indiana 47401. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until time of service with Fr. Tom Kovatch officiating. Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
