

Shirley Ann Sexton, age 79, of Indianapolis, died Saturday morning at I.U.Health; Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Born June 11, 1935 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Fred Robert Helms and Hildreth Esther (Abram) Helms Hendrickson. She enjoyed reading, shopping and watching T.V. comedy shows. She, as well, had a wonderful sense of humor. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her loving family; her husband, Clovis Sexton, of Indianapolis, two daughters and sons-in-law, Luanne and Michael Long, of Indianapolis and Marsha and Geoffrey Coburn, of Gatlinburg, Tennessee; one sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Mike McClary, of Bloomington; four grandchildren, Leslie, Joshua, Christina and Justin and three great-grandchildren, Alec, Abigail and Liam.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Fred Helms, Bobby Helms and Ronnie Helms and one sister, Doris Jean Helms.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 12 Noon at the Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home; 4150 E. Third St.; Bloomington with Bro. Russell Minett officiating. Burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. to 12 Noon at the funeral home.
