Stephen Frank Mosca passed from this life to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on March 9, 2025, surrounded by his family. Steve was born in Baltimore MD - April 3,1942 to Stephen Samuel Mosca and Bertha Mlynski (Mosca).
He married Noell A. Hall (Mosca), January 18, 1971, and celebrated 54 years of marriage together.
Steve is survived by his wife Noell, their daughter Paige (Brett) Fischer of New Castle, Indiana. Grandchildren Samuel Fischer, Bryce Fischer,Kitima Fischer, Cohen Fischer, of New Castle, Indiana. A Brother, Many Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews, from Maryland, Georgia, Louisiana, North Carolina and Texas.
Steve dedicated himself to serving our country and retired from the United States Navy in 1982, a Senior Chief Petty Officer, with 23 years of faithful service to his Country.After retirement, Steve continued his time working as a civilian for the military at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division.
A loving Husband and Father, known to his grandkids as Bepop - Steve brought fun to family gatherings. Especially “the sweet treats” he enjoyed…whipped cream on top of Cheerios, cotton candy and stale Marshmallow peeps. Steve was a wonderful cook – especially Italian foods. . . ran in his family.
You could find Steve involved in his community, whether attending Bible Studies or Small Groups through his church, Sherwood Oaks Christian Church; or, enjoying breakfast with friends, or talking with neighbors. Steve didn’t know a stranger. He made everyone feel welcomed. Generous to all who knew him. He will be deeply missed this side of heaven. But his legacy lives on through his family.
Words cannot express my thankfulness to God, for Blessing me with Steve - Loving, Generous, Faithful, Supportive, Kind and Dedicated to Family, and his Love of our Lord. He gave of himself and never asked anything in return. He completed me.
Our life was a total adventure…Maryland, Italy, Florida, England, Iceland and Indiana, Our Home. And…He was a Sailor, a Ship’s Serviceman, a Commissary Store Officer and a “Gentleman.” My Rock.
A Prayer of Eternity
Dear Lord, our Lord, we humbly ask you to bless,
Our loved one who has gone to his eternal rest!
An earthly journey is at end, a heavenly victory begun;
He fought the good fight in heaven’s light, a battle our Master won!
A place where our dearest one walks, and suffers no more;
With the Master of life, Jesus Christ, hand-in-hand forevermore.
A heavenly mansion, most welcoming, with a room He’s prepared;
For our very precious loved one, his song forever shared.
For the time will come when we all will dine,
With the Son of Life, our loved ones, and all heaven-kind.
For the Bread on that table and the drink we will share;
Is the Master’s promise of our Eternal Care!
WE LOVE YOU STEVE
