Steven Valentine Miller

Steven Valentine Miller, 76, passed away on May 24, 2023 leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and cherished memories. He was born on May 5, 1947 to Paul and Pauline Miller in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He graduated from Indiana Institute of Technology with a degree in mechanical engineering. Steve's career led him to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane, where he worked as a mechanical engineer. After retirement from Crane, he continued work as a mechanical engineer at Indiana University until 2015.

Steve's faith was a guiding light in his life, and he actively participated in the St. Charles Catholic Church community. He found solace and strength in his spiritual beliefs and exemplified compassion and kindness. Steve enjoyed IU basketball and deeply valued quality time spent with loved ones, creating lifelong memories through gatherings and celebrations.

Steve is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary Anne, sons Scott (Anna), Nick (Kate), and Doug, grandchildren Kaylee, Luke, and Macy, and siblings Carolyn Thompson, Kevin Miller, and Brian Miller.

Friends, family, and community members can pay their respects and honor Steve's life on Thursday, June 1, 2023. Mass will be held at St. Paul Catholic Church at 10 am. The family will receive friends prior to mass from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
