Teddie Gene Robertson, 76, passed away on December 21, 2019 in Abilene, Texas.
He was the husband of Karen Anne Cain Robertson. They shared 57 years of marriage together.
Ted was born in Charlestown, Indiana March 28, 1943 to Hobart and Flossie Prince Robertson.
He graduated from Smithville High School, Smithville, Indiana. He also graduated from an
apprenticeship program with the IBEW as an electrician. He worked for several years as a
superintendent for Steele-Beard Electric in Bloomington.
Ted served on Code Making Panel 5 for several years with NEC. When Ted and Karen moved to Dallas,
Texas they started Robertson Electric, Inc. and Robertson Electric Services, Inc. After retiring, they
started Robertson Associates, a consulting firm.
He is survived by his wife Karen, Son, Troy Robertson and wife Tracy, daughter, Heather Robertson-
Caraway, daughter-in-law, Amy Robertson-Hill. Granddaughters, Cassie McFadden-Gleason, Taylor
Robertson-Caraway, Sadie Rae Hill and Grandson, Johnathan Robertson-Caraway. Great-Grandsons Kyle
Gleason and Logan Gleason.
Also surviving, brothers, Dan Robertson and wife Ruby, Bedford, Art Robertson and wife Lisa of
Ellettsville, Indiana. Sisters, Letha Lee of New Palestine, Martha Hoover of Bloomington and Dee Anne
Lee of Jacksonville, Florida.
He was predeceased by a son, Todd Allan Robertson, grandson, Jarrett Allan Robertson, son-in-law,
Rusty Caraway, twin brother, Freddie Dean Robertson, brother, Hobart D. Robertson, and sisters, Retha
Sowders and Margaret Leach.
In 2008, after a battle with Vasculitis, Ted willed his body to Baylor College of Medicine.
