

Thomas Meadows, of Bloomington, passed away in I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital on March 12, 2016 with his family by his side. He was the son of Grandful and Rebecca (McKinney) Meadows, born on June 2, 1942 in Aliceville, Alabama. He was 73 years old.
Tom is survived by his loving wife Joyce Meadows, daughter Monica Meadows, three step-sons: Michael(Lisa)Halstead, Gary Halstead and David(Renee’)Halstead and his cousin Dorothy DeGroffenreed.
He is also survived by five grandchildren: Zachary and Kathryn Halstead and Bobby, Chris and Jason Lindauer, two great-grandchildren: Rosie and Jasmine Lindauer.
Tom was a graduate of Gary Roosevelt High School in Gary, IN and attended Indiana University where he played football as a two-way guard. Passionate about sports, especially I.U. football and basketball, Tom coached little league football for many years and his daughter’s softball team.
While “the big one” may have eluded him, Tom’s love for fishing remained.
Visitation for Thomas will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m.in Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home, 4150 E. Third St., Bloomington, IN 47401. Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery.
