Timothy Dale Hamblen, age 51, of Bloomington, died unexpectedly on Thursday at I.U. Health; Bloomington Hospital. Born July 3, 1961 in Martinsville, he was the son of Wendell and Sue (Willis) Hamblen. He worked in construction and was talented in many areas of work, including welding. He was an avid NASCAR fan and especially loved Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife, Delessa (Walker) Hamblen, of Bloomington, his daughter, Courtney Hamblen, of Indianapolis; his parents, Wendell and Sue Hamblen, of Bloomington; three sisters, Debbie Greene, of Georgia, Angi Pruitt, of Bloomington and Pam Turpin (Devin), of Bloomington and two brothers, Gary (Beth Ann) Hamblen and Danny Hamblen, both of Bloomington.
A receiving of friends will be on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Day Funeral Home followed by a brief prayer service at 8:00 P.M. led by Bro. Pat Knowles.
